Thank You For...
Thank You for the breaking that made room for becoming.
Thank You for loneliness that taught me You were never gone.
Thank You for the unknown, where my control unraveled and Your peace waited.
Thank You for the doors that closed so I could learn to stop knocking.
Thank You for the silence that asked me to listen deeper.
Thank You for the love I lost - it showed me what was never mine to keep.
Thank You got the growing pains that shaped me into someone new.
Thank You for every foster home, every shift of ground -
You taught me to build home in You, now walls around me.
Thank You for grief, for it softened me to grace.
Thank You for fear, for it proved I still had faith to hold.
Thank You for loss, for it cleared space for something holy.
Thank You for shame and guilt, for they pushed me toward truth instead of hiding from it.
Thank You for dependence, for it made strength honest.
Thank You for understanding, even when it came through tears.
Thank You for the mirror You held up to my reflection -
and for the courage to finally look.
Thank You, God, for not needing me to fight for what's already mine.
Thank You for teaching me that newness is not a punishment, but a promise.
Thank You for Isaiah 43 - that steady whisper "Forget the former things; see, I am doing a new thing."
Thank You for the beach, where waves repeat what You've always said - that endings are just beginnings returning to shore.

This - “Thank You for every foster home, every shift of ground -
You taught me to build home in You, now walls around me”
So beautifully said. You allowed God to turn something temporary into a permanent fixture in your heart!
